For the West, Japan continues to represent an open challenge, an experience that shapes its depth in the elegance, harmony, beauty and dream world of a tradition based on meditation a contemplative practice of gesture that aims for the highest good, for the light. Inspired by their recent vivid travels to the East, JoyCut, in collaboration with director Asato Sakamoto, make their debut at the Biennale Musica with their first work Komorebi.
Komorebi is the “distinctive effect of sunlight as it filters through the thin gossamer leaves of trees”.
