The new episode dedicated to Biennale Musica 2025, with contributions by Caterina Barbieri, Peter Cowie, Carl Craig, Cevdet Erek, Fennesz, Luigia Lonardelli, Meredith Monk and Robert Redford.

Starting today, Wednesday 29 October 2025, the second episode of La Biennale on Air, the new Podcast created by La Biennale di Venezia, is available online on the major platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music – Audible e YouTube) and on the website of La Biennale di Venezia (La Biennale on Air).
The new episode focuses at length on the recent 69th International Festival of Contemporary Music, with contributions by the Artistic Director Caterina Barbieri, the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement Meredith Monk and the artists Actress, Carl Craig and Fennesz.
The second episode, like the entire Podcast project, spotlights all of the Departments of La Biennale di Venezia as well. The third stage of the Special Project by the Historical Archive of La Biennale di Venezia The Wind Makes the Sky, Amfibio Sound Days, thanks to the collaboration of Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, is illustrated by the curator Luigia Lonardelli and by the artist Cevdet Erek, who discuss the traveling work Amfibio in Istanbul and the previous stages of the Special Project in Venice and in China.
For Biennale Cinema, the film critic and historian Peter Cowie, author of the book Happy 75° – A Brief Introduction to the History of the International Film Festival, reviews the appearances by the legendary director Orson Welles at the Venice International Film Festival, on the 40th anniversary of the filmmaker’s passing, followed by a tribute to Robert Redford, with an excerpt from the speech that the actor and director gave at the 74th Venice Film Festival in 2017 upon accepting the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement.
The Podcast La Biennale on Air is released monthly in the form of audio episodes in English and offers access to all the Departments of La Biennale, sharing the content of the Exhibitions, Festivals, Special Projects and collections of the Historical Archive with contributions recorded by the artistic directors, artists, filmmakers, performers and other figures from the world of culture.
