The growing geography of the tropics is defined by its hybrid nature—mixed, permeable, and adaptable. This intermediate region fosters the coexistence of cultural, biological, and technological knowledge through everyday mixtures in art, music, cuisine, and architecture, forming hybrid conditions of dialogue and exchange.
Intermediate Intelligences materialises these ideas by contrasting the mineral and the vegetal world. It is an interstitial space of the exchange and mixture between opposing conditions that is characteristic of collective life in the tropics. It is a space to inhabit between two worlds, represented through diverse material, spatial, and cultural languages.
