In contemporary Western agricultural systems, the farm labourer is a machine operator, and agricultural production encompasses the entire process from planting to distribution. The collectivisation of land and labour in Massachusetts’s cranberry region results in a distributive system organised around the spatial logic of the body, centred on the needs of truckers.
