Gateway to Venice’s Waterways reimagines Venice’s transportation infrastructure, modernising connectivity while preserving the city’s historical and cultural identity. This modular transportation hub serves as both a functional gateway and a showcase for innovative mobility solutions, setting a global standard for sustainable urban design.
The biomorphic structure, inspired by nature’s adaptability, derives from lightweight technology found in modern sports cars design. The installation integrates advanced electric modes of transportation for both water and land such as 850 Fantom Air boats equipped with Macan engines. These state-of-the-art transport solutions enhance connectivity within Venice, providing a more efficient and enjoyable user experience for residents and visitors alike.
This initiative is not merely a response to Venice’s mobility challenges but a forward-thinking vision for global urban transportation. It seeks to position Venice as a global model for advanced mobility solutions, combining modern technology with a commitment to sustainability. Prioritising energy efficiency and environmental stewardship, the project will make extensive use of recycled materials and innovative sustainable systems to reduce its ecological footprint. Accessibility is another key focus, ensuring inclusivity for individuals of all ages and abilities.
