Nídia / Helviofox / DJ Firmeza - Celebração Príncipe

DJ Firmeza, Helviofox, and Nídia come together for Celebração Príncipe, a party of pure, raw energy dedicated to the Lisbon-based record label Príncipe. Founded in 2011, the label has become a vital platform for contemporary electronic dance music produced predominantly in Lisbon’s African immigrant communities in suburbs and housing projects on the outskirts of the city. Celebrating its fifteenth anniversary in 2026, Príncipe continues to document and support Afro-diasporic urban music and Portuguese youth culture, including sounds emerging from an amalgam of the high-energy dance styles kuduro, batida and gqom.
Combining DJ performances with a new installation by Márcio Matos – who also designs the label’s hand-painted, stencilled covers for its physical releases – Celebração Príncipe brings together painted textiles, video projections and music in a telluric setting. Presented at Forte Marghera as part of the Biennale Musica 2026’s late-night clubbing programme, the event celebrates the collective spirit that has defined the label since its inception.
