Surgeon onstage at the Biennale Musica 2026
Saturday 17 October at Padiglione 30 of Forte Marghera (replacing the previously announced DJ Nobu).
Surgeon at the Biennale Musica 2026
Surgeon, alias Anthony Child, the British electronic musician and producer who was among the first to shape the sound of his DJ sets with the Ableton Live software, will be onstage October 17th at Padiglione 30 of Forte Marghera for the 70th International Festival of Contemporary Music, replacing the previously announced DJ Nobu. DJ Nobu was unable enter Europe for having inadvertently exceeded the permitted length of stay in the Schengen area, as he stated on his social media channels.
Sounds and visions merge in the remixes by Surgeon, a key figure in electronic music from across the Channel, influenced by krautrock, industrial, Chicago House, techno and dub, which he fuses with non-musical inspirations, such the cinema of Mike Leigh and David Lynch, the writings of William S. Burroughs or Bret Easton Ellis, and the visual poetry of Cindy Sherman.
Surgeon and Polygonia, the name under which artist Lindsey Wang creates her multidisciplinary projects, will therefore be the headliners for the clubbing night on October 17th at Padiglione 30 at Forte Marghera.
