A broad Educational offer will be available in 2020 as well, addressing itself to individuals and groups of students, children, grown-ups, families, professionals, companies, and universities. All initiatives aim to an active involvement of participants. They are led by professional operators, selected and trained by La Biennale di Venezia, and fall under the following categories: Guided Itineraries and Workshop Activities.
Where can I buy admission tickets for the Biennale Architettura?
The ticket offices located at the venues of the Giardini and the Arsenale sell all admission tickets; there are various types available to suit the needs of an increasingly vast audience. Some types of tickets may be purchased online.
Admission tickets may also be purchased at the VeneziaUnica sales points located around Venice or from the Vivaticket vendors across Italy. Visit the dedicated page to find the sales point nearest to you.
What is the difference between the PLUS ticket and the REGULAR ticket?
The PLUS ticket allows you to enter and leave the Exhibition venues for 3 CONSECUTIVE DAYS. A valid document for identification must be displayed upon each admission to the Exhibition venues because the pass is non-transferable. The REGULAR ticket allows one admission to the Giardini and one to the Arsenale, even on different days. This type of ticket does not allow you to enter or leave the same venue more than once.
I am a student/professional, can I get educational credit?
State your requirement at the ticket offices located in the Exhibition venues (Giardini and Arsenale) before purchasing your admission ticket.
Can I buy the reduced-price ticket online?
Only some types of reduced-price tickets may be purchased online; all other types may be purchased directly at the ticket offices upon display of a document proving eligibility for the discount.
To buy the € 16 reduced-price ticket, do I have to be a student and also under 26?
The € 16 ticket may be purchased by all students independently of their age and by anyone age 26 and under. A valid document for identification must be displayed to purchase the reduced-price ticket.
Does the ticket also include admission to the Collateral Events and National Pavilions around the city?
Most of the Collateral Events are free of charge and free admission. There may be exceptions that require purchase of a ticket at the event venue.
Can an adult with 2 children purchase the Formula 3 ticket?
The “Formula 3” allows purchase of a minimum of 3 tickets for € 48 and requires that at least one person be an adult (over 18) and one be under 16. Any additional under 16 ticket may be purchased at the price of €16.
Can children under the age of 6 be included in the Formula 3?
Children ages 6 and under are admitted free of charge to the Exhibition, but they may also be included in the Formula 3.
With the combined ticket Arte + Danza / Musica / Teatro, do I have to visit the Exhibition on the same day as the performance?
The visit to the Exhibition may take place at different times, not necessarily on the same day as the performance, except for special events that will be appropriately identified as such.
I lost my Regular/Plus ticket: what do I do?
A lost ticket may not be reprinted or duplicated in any way, therefore if a ticket is lost a new one must be purchased.
I lost my accreditation: what do I do?
If your accreditation pass was lost or stolen, a substitute pass may be issued with the same expiration date as the original one, provided you present to the ticket offices a copy of the report of the loss filed with the Police Authorities.
What advantages are there to purchasing tickets online?
The Print@Home function makes it possible to print your own Regular ticket at home and gain access autonomously to the Exhibition venue. This will allow you to avoid queues at the ticket offices of the Exhibition venues. If you were unable to print your ticket before coming to the Exhibition you may request your ticket at the prepaid ticket booth.
If I purchase my ticket online do I have to choose a date for my visit?
No, the ticket may be used on any day the Exhibition is open through November 29th.
I am unable to purchase the ticket online, the screen turns white when I confirm my purchase: why?
Usually it’s a problem with the browser you are using, just switch browsers and the problem will be solved.
I received an email confirming my purchase. How do I print the tickets?
Tickets purchased online may be retrieved by connecting to the following link and inserting the transaction code in your possession. You will obtain your ticket in pdf format, which you can print and use for admission.
Where can I purchase tickets at group rates (min. 10 participants)?
Groups that wish to enter the Exhibition venues independently, taking advantage of the group rate for their tickets, must mandatorily purchase their admission tickets on our website. Adult group-rate tickets may not be purchased directly at the ticket offices.
How can I purchase a private guided tour or a scheduled guided tour?
Private guided tours may be reserved by filling out the form on the website www.labiennale.org at least 15 days before the date of your visit. Our staff will answer within 7 working days to confirm or deny the date you have chosen based on the dates available on the calendar. Reserved guided tours must be prepaid.
Each tour guide may work with a maximum of 20 participants. Larger groups will be assigned additional tour guides. The price shown on our website is the cost per guide.
Scheduled guided tours are dedicated to visitors who are not organized as a group; they take place on pre-established days and times and may be purchased on the website or at our ticket offices, subject to availability.
In what languages are the guided tours held?
The guided tours are available in Italian, English and various other foreign languages. For further information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
At what time do the scheduled guided tours leave and how much do they cost? Does the ticket for the tour without reservations include admission to the Exhibition?
The scheduled guided tours leave at pre-established times. Check the schedule and availability on the website. The cost for a scheduled guided tour is € 7 per person and per Exhibition venue (the price is € 8.50 with booking fee). The admission ticket to the Exhibition is not included.
What activities are available for children and families?
For children between the ages of 4 and 10 years there are Creative Ateliers held on Sundays, which may be purchased on the website. For groups of at least 10 children the Atelier may be reserved on weekdays. Families may request personalized guided tours, custom-planned for the family.
What is the difference between the Exhibition venue of the Giardini and that of the Arsenale? Where does the visit begin?
The two venues are independent but complementary in that they are part of the same Exhibition. There is no rule about beginning your tour in one venue rather than the other. The admission ticket is a combined ticket that allows access to both Exhibition venues.
Is there a cloakroom to leave coats or baggage at the Exhibition venues? Is there a cost?
There is a cloakroom in both venues, and it is free of charge. The cloakroom does not accept medium to large suitcases, only small personal items such as bags, coats and jackets or umbrellas.
Can I leave the Exhibition and come back in?
Only with a Plus ticket or an accreditation/pass. The Regular ticket type allows only one admission for each venue.
How far is the Giardini venue from the Arsenale venue? How long does it take to visit the venues?
The walking distance between the two venues is about 10 minutes. The average visit lasts about 3 hours per venue.
