Argentina

Time neither advances nor halts upon entering the Argentine Pavilion. The air refreshes; the light becomes subtle, distant. The space invites pause, stillness. An interruption within the rhythm of the Biennale; a place where the body slides into drowsiness. The siesta, a rupture of the routine, becomes as an act of suspension. It is not the stillness of the body, but of everything—a contrast to the accelerated pace of life and the demands of productivity. The pavilion as a collective experience of leisure: a shelter. Throughout the hall, a silo bag invades the space, decontextualized yet retaining its essence. It evokes a remnant of the Argentine economy, suspended in memory. The silo becomes a support for sleep, a soft mattress where bodies sink.
