The Ritual, The Void, The Repair reimagines the unfinished Ndiouga Kébé Palace in Touba, Senegal, through an immersive, interactive digital experience. The installation serves as both a portal to the past and a symbolic void, exploring the unfinished legacy of modernity and resource exploitation. It features a single-channel film that prompts reflection on progress, decay, and the haunting presence of contemporary ruins. This is complemented by a narrative showcasing a digital archive of research materials, 3D models, and investigative drawings. The installation fosters dialogue on the reuse of ruins, inviting viewers to explore the potential within both physical remnants and their voids.
