Post Office Pod: Working from Everywhere

Post Office Pod reimagines the office as a space where human connection and innovation thrive even in an era dominated by digital tools. This outdoor co-working space installation represents a prototype for the “office pods” that will be located within the renovated external areas of Poste Italiane post offices or co-working as part of the “Polis Project”, which aims at promoting the economic, social and territorial cohesion of the country and overcoming the digital divide in small towns and internal areas. Post Office Pod creates environments that prioritise both social interaction and a deep connection to the surrounding. Modular configurations, shared spaces, and open layouts enable spontaneous exchanges essential for innovation. Natural elements including green roofs, biophilic materials, and outdoor workspaces bring the restorative effects of natural elements into the office, improving well-being and cognitive function. Following the Biennale Architettura 2025, modular components of the installation will be repurposed in newly renovated Poste Italiane’s external areas of post offices or co-working spaces, located in small towns spread across Italy.
