Beginning with the plants and minerals of Europe’s ecoregions, Planting Buildings explores regenerative land management practices through the design of radical new housing systems from cork, reed, wheat, eelgrass, cattail, pine, oak and eucalyptus. Each of these materials respect the labour of the human body, contemporary standards of comfort, and work within planetary limits.
