Ascents: Events: Implements responds to the historic Blue Marble photograph, the first and only time the unshadowed earth was captured in a single frame, sparking questions about humanity’s evolving relationship with the planet. Drawing inspiration from Apollo’s collective approach, the installation challenges contemporary values of individual empowerment by reimagining tools not as isolated instruments, but as catalysts for collective action in a future defined by shared responsibility and resilience. Through speculative models and drawings, viewers are invited to explore how technological innovation can foster cooperation, with tools that are functional and symbolic of our shared, necessary path toward a sustainable, interconnected future.
