Francesca Fabrizi is a pianist and electroacoustic musician based in Rome. After undergoing classical piano studies, she first graduated in Psychology and then in Electroacoustic composition. She composes experimental sound worlds that blend electroacoustics, instrumental exploration and sound materiality, sometimes integrating with visual narratives. She is close to anything that relates to borders, that is to say all that is unstable and looks for balance while being on a fragile edge. Relating to sound, she’s interested in blurring distinct elements in wide sonic dimensions, similar to landscapes, playing between clarity and noise. With her music she tries to connect with the themes of listening and the perceptive qualities of timbre. Over the years, her work has moved across diverse territories, exploring sonorous readings, live performances, videomapping, theatre productions and solo sets.
