Abdullah Miniawy is an Egyptian artist, poet and composer whose work traverses sound, text, performance and film. Appearing on stages during the 2011 Egyptian revolution, his distinctive voice and politically charged lyrics found resonance across the East and beyond. His child-like talent has brought his voice into conversation with leading figures in contemporary music, including Erik Truffaz, Niño de Elche, Carl Gari, A Filetta and more, from motivating strikes in Tahrir Square with a laptop and voice to composing for choirs such as A Filetta, spanning avant-garde electronics, jazz and experimental forms.
