Polygonia / Surgeon

Polygonia presents a DJ set moving fluidly between techno, bass music, breakbeat, house and other electronic genres. Combining intricate rhythmic structures with detailed sound design, the set draws together diverse musical influences late into the night.

Sounds and visions merge in the remixes by Surgeon (alias Anthony Child, the British electronic musician and producer who was among the first to shape the sound of his DJ sets with the Ableton Live software), a key figure in electronic music from across the Channel, influenced by krautrock, industrial, Chicago House, techno and dub, which he fuses with non-musical inspirations, such the cinema of Mike Leigh and David Lynch, the writings of William S. Burroughs or Bret Easton Ellis, and the visual poetry of Cindy Sherman.

The DJ set with DJ Nobu has been cancelled.
