Access to the festival areas and screenings – Covid Certificate

Access to the areas and screenings of the 78th Venice International Film Festival will be regulated according to the provisions of the latest Italian decree-law in force.

With the exception of children under 12 years old and spectators who are exempt from it, all tickets holders must present a Covid Certificate (also known as Green Pass or covid-19 Green Certificate) to whomever is in charge of controlling it, showing proof that a person has either: been vaccinated against covid-19 with an EMA authorised vaccine and has completed the prescribed vaccination cycle (2 doses); has been vaccinated against covid-19 with an EMA authorised vaccine with 1 dose since at least 14 days; or holds a certificate of recovery from covid-19 not older than 6 months from the date of access to the festival areas, and is no longer under prescription of self-isolation.

In the absence of certifications and in the case of vaccines not recognised by the EMA (Moderna, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson&Johnson), the result of a negative PCR or rapid antigen swab carried out in the 48 hours preceding access to the Room, certifying negativity to Covid 19, must be presented.

Spectators will be asked to show a valid identity document at the checkpoint.

In case of absence of the documentation specified above, La Biennale di Venezia will refuse admissions to the screening halls and it will not be possible to get a refund.
