The winners of Biennale College direction and dramaturgy

The selected projects (Direction under 30 and Dramaturgy under 30) will be showcased at the Biennale Teatro in 2027.

Biennale College Teatro - Direction under 30

27-year-old Adele Cammarata is the winner of the Biennale College call for Direction under 30 with her work, Inventario. The project will be presented at the Biennale Teatro in 2027.

 “Puppet theatre, shadow and object theatre, dance, and contemporary performance art intertwine in a work that —according to the motivation— moving on the thread of a light and poetic empathy, manages to reveal magical worlds, not devoid of pain and nostalgia. In an interior submerged in ancient dust, two female characters travel back and forth in time, revealing dusty objects that evoke memories and dreams. Dreams that can instantly become nightmares, thunderous images that blaze across the stage, intertwining with one another. A construction full of surprises that, scene after scene, enchants and transports the spectator into ever-new realms. For this reason, Adele Cammarata's work deserves further development”.

Biennale College Teatro - Dramaturgy under 30

Anna Farina and Irene Mantova are the winners of the Biennale College Teatro call for Dramaturgy under 30 with Autodafè and Devozioni, respectively. The two projects will be presented as scenic readings at the Biennale Teatro in 2027

Anna Farina, born in 2000, won “for her dense and tragically evocative writing, so much so that it recalls certain works by Sarah Kane, in which the question of the laborious construction of a personal identity leads to analytical and existential drifts of interesting power, between little-known historical references and dystopian perspectives. A work certainly worth developing”.

Irene Mantova, born in 1996, won “for a casual and entertaining style that also opens up to intensely dramatic explorations, in which generational and social elements come into play, without ever losing sight of a sharp and uncompromising psychoanalytic exploration. Able to blend different tones and genres, Mantova's work appears worthy of a continuation within the Biennale Teatro”.
