The SKYWALK by Platform Earth

Skywalk presents a visionary elevated pathway over Venice’s pristine wetlands, supported by innovative wave mitigation design and anchored by an island. Moreover, the exhibition will highlight the La Laguna restoration project, an ambitious managed re-alignment initiative to restore wetlands to Venice’s delicate marine ecosystem. Developed by Italian-English founder of Platform Earth, Petroc Sesti, with RSHP and the University of Padua, these projects celebrate biodiversity, ecological restoration, and public access while preserving Venice’s cultural and natural heritage. Showcasing architectural models, wave mitigation designs, ecological research, and artworks by renowned artists, the exhibition aims to inspire collaboration among artists, architects, scientists, and communities to safeguard Venice’s ecosystem and create lasting educational and environmental impact.
