Description
Curator Carlo Ratti describes the exhibition as positioning architects as “mutagens”, sparking natural processes and guiding them in new directions.
The Honors students of No Blue, No Green studio, were hooked by the fact that in 1930s, the people of Venice harnessed the power of the wetlands and had to move beehives in boats. The student-led project, titled unEarthed / Second Nature / PolliNATION is an observatory surrounded by more than 60 different plant species and 10 types of pollinators: birds, beetles, lizards, weather, butterflies, moths, wasps, flies, bats and bees. To start the conversation, Cloud 9 has invited Aaron Betsky to be the curator of a round table, where the beekeepers of Venice, moving their pollinators from island to island, will be the model for this organic practice.
We are a PolliNATION.
