Biennale College Teatro / Mariasole Brusa - Golem_e fango è il mondo

Description
The show offers a visual and poetic evocation of mud as a material; it conveys its creative and repulsive fascination both as an emotional metaphor through the legend of Golem, but also as a concrete experience, emphasising the emotional and imaginative worlds of the people who experienced the May 2023 flood in Romagna (Italy). It is a reflection on the relationship between man and nature, through the visual and dreamlike language that the myriad techniques of puppet theatre provide – mechanical and string puppets, body puppets, the animation of matter, shadow puppetry. These techniques are blended with documentary footage and animated cinema (using a green screen), as part of a hybrid project that is at once dramaturgical but also constructive and material.
