Eight centuries after Saint Francis composed the Canticle of the Creatures, a hymn celebrating complex interspecies relationships, its resonance endures. By 2050, Rome may emerge as a global capital of biodiversity and cross-species interaction. The audiovisual installation Cantico Tiberino explores the union that bonds the city with this extraordinary waterway, a powerful source of life and collective intelligence. Envisioning the future of Rome along its river, it investigates several sites identified as epicenters of intelligence—each examined both in its present condition and in terms of its future potential.
