Starting in 2003, the small municipality of Ostana, Italy, entered a second phase of revitalisation, aimed at building welfare services for repopulation and supporting new micro-economies and cultural production. Some community spaces, like the Lou Pourtoun cultural centre, Mizoun de la Villo, and Housing Valentin, emerged thanks to a collaboration with the Department of Architecture and Design of Politecnico di Torino.
