This special club night stages an intergenerational meeting of two artists working at the leading edge of electronic music, each exploring a cosmological perspective on sound as a portal into the future. Carl Craig, a foundational figure in Detroit techno, represents a generation that shaped the contours of modern electronic sound. His work continues to evolve, bending the legacy of machine funk and Afro-futurism into new, emotionally charged configurations. In counterpoint, Mia Koden embodies a newer wave of bass-driven experimentation. Rooted in the UK’s sound system continuum and shaped by diasporic lineages, her productions and DJ sets build unpredictable pathways through 140 bpm, 2-step garage, dub and bass culture—expanding the vocabulary of contemporary club music. Together, Craig and Koden channel two distinct but converging traditions: one forged in the laboratories of early techno, the other emerging from a dynamic, globalised bass culture.
