Omar Rajeh - Dance People
Description
Dance People is not a performance to be observed from afar. It is a gesture to be shared. A space to be inhabited. Omar Rajeh, a Lebanese choreographer based in Lyon, places community values at the center of creativity, affirming the unifying value of dance, making it an act with political significance. In a world driven by intelligent algorithms and artificial intelligence, some of today's most pressing questions concern encounters, relationships, and the way we interact with one another. What is the space for democracy, culture, and identity? Omar Rajeh reinvents theater, conceiving it as a shared space where the spectator is an integral part, free to move and shape the performance alongside the dancers. A joyful work that is simultaneously critical of power and supremacy.
