Bacio sogno autodistruzione places at its centre the unease of a generation, articulated through an intimate and private journey. Davide Pascarella comments: “A staging of the self, driven by the urge to self-destruct and to survive that destruction. It is an ongoing mise en abyme in which an ‘I’ presents its own path to the audience, marked by encounters and key moments, until it finds a reason to remain. Inevitably, it is also a generational cry: that of authors who grew up in a world that held together, within the same childhood memory, September 11 attacks and an interrupted episode of Melevisione, a popular Italian children’s TV show.”
