A film screening dedicated to the legacy of Uzbek silent film. It will include the work of Khudaibergen Devanov, a pioneering Uzbek photographer, cinematographer and filmmaker, who started his independent career in the first Uzbek documentary cinema around 1908. The event will be moderated by Doctor of Arts Nigora Karimova and Director of the State Unitary Enterprise Republican Film Foundation Eldjon Abbasov. In addition to the works of Devanov, silent films of other Uzbek directors will also be presented and discussed.
