Recypark is an adaptive infrastructure project in the Eurodelta, one of Europe’s most infrastructurally dense regions. Located along the Brussels-Charleroi canal, the project concentrates recycling functions on one side of the plot, thus freeing a space for public use along the canal where different types of visitors can meet. A skatepark and green zone encourage people to use the space in diverse ways, facilitating the project’s integration and promoting its visibility. Both programs are united by a wooden structure, repurposed from an industrial hall to reinforce a common identity, matching the semi-industrial environment and lower its carbon footprint.
