Director’s Statement
This documentary explores the often-misunderstood job of casting. Through a series of interviews with famed casting director Bonnie Timmermann, A-list actors and directors, along with exclusive unseen audition tapes, the film dissects what talent is and how to detect it. The film underlines how groundbreaking and innovative Bonnie’s approach was in the 80’s and 90’s, and how she changed the face of cinema and television by imposing diversity.
