A glimpse into humankind’s recent past told through an intimate childhood story in which mistakes bring change and hope for the future of the planet. The Miracle Basket is a textured and layered story integrating socio-political thought with abstract subjects both metaphysical and contemporary. By describing the arrival of the west as the downfall of innocence, the VR experience relates to environmental issues of today and political uprising through storytelling.
In this world where grass collides with concrete, my goal is to achieve a collection of visions of beauty, humor, sadness, destruction, and rebirth. Art must inspire in order to have the power to start a revolution or create social change. You can do that by opening eyes, not by punching the viewer in the face with negative imagery or physical discomfort in order to open them. I believe that my style and story endings lend each of my pieces a hopeful message while conveying the importance and weight of the subjects they discuss. With The Miracle Basket, I want to convey to the audience that in the end there is hope, but we must look at our past to find the seeds which plant a hopeful future.
