Synopsis

Welcome to Uncanny Alley. A corner of the Metaverse that follows Gh0st, Glitch and other Metazins as they navigate their existence. Gh0st has gone missing whilst working on systems to cross worlds. We follow the clues and revelations that uncover an existence beyond what was thought possible. Breaking the 4th wall. Revealing a glimpse of the Open Metaverse. Ultimately leading to you, the User, to continue down the rabbit holes that are opened to these new worlds.

Director’s Statement

Uncanny Alley explores the current state of the Metaverse. Through this immersive world, we explore interoperability, avatars, closed systems and breaking the fourth wall of the Metaverse. The project is set in 3 different metaverse technologies, each exploring various degrees of ‘Openness’. The immersive project will be the platform for viewing at Venice with the option of the user continuing the journey into worlds that are revealed through the experience. The project is inspired by the Metaverse communities: M3 (Metaverse Makers) and The MVC (Metaverse Crew). Metaverse communities that are building the foundations of the Open Metaverse. The project explores storytelling in a new medium with the combination of NPCs (Non Playable Characters) comic style content and you, the user who is left with the quest of continuing the journey beyond the current world.
