Historical architectures of refrigeration can inform new technologies for climate-conscious design. A prototype pavilion of an evaporative fridge uses a single layer of water-irrigated cardboard pads to refresh the interior space. FRIDGES addresses techniques from the past and translates them into contemporary uses, creating new coolings.
