Where to eat / Where to sleep

Both venues offer bar/restaurant services inside.

Venice offers a wide range of lodgings and the Exhibition is easy to reach, both on foot or with public transportation, from any part of the city. If you are staying in Mestre, you can get to Venice by bus/tram (Piazzale Roma stop) or by train (Venezia Santa Lucia station) and then walk to the Exhibition (around 40 minutes) or arrive by vaporetto (see above, How to get there).

Which ticket to buy

There are several different types of tickets and accreditation. Consult the pricelist online and choose the solution that best suits your needs and the time you have at your disposal to visit the Exhibition.

Bear in mind that the venues are large and that an unguided visit requires an average of 3 hours per venue, and longer than that for a guided tour.

How the 18th international architecture exhibition is structured

The Exhibition is divided across two venues, the Giardini and the Arsenale, both equally important and complementary to one another. All tickets include admission to both venues. You may start your visit as you prefer from any of the two venues.
Each venue in turn is divided into two parts: the main exhibition The Laboratory of the Future curated by Lesley Lokko, and the National Participations.

The Giardini are the original venue for the events of La Biennale di Venezia, where the National Pavilions were built from the end of the eighteenth century. The Arsenale is a protoindustrial archaeological complex, in which the Republic of Venice had built the ships in its fleet since the fourteenth century. Today the Arsenale hosts a part of the International Exhibition and some National Participations in its historical spaces, recently restored by La Biennale di Venezia.

Prepare your visit

Before your visit
Consult the following link: https://www.labiennale.org/en/architecture/2023, to read the Curator’s statement, discover the National Participations, the Collateral Events, the Special Projects and the entire Exhibition programme.

You may download the Exhibition brochure, the map of the spaces, the kits dedicated to helping you organize your visit.

You can also purchase a private tour (in Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, or Russian) or a pre-scheduled tour (in Italian or English): https://www.labiennale.org/en/architecture/2023/information#tickets

Check out the Biennale Agenda (https://www.labiennale.org/en/agenda), there might be encounters, performances, other initiatives of La Biennale di Venezia and more scheduled on the day of your visit.

The Catalogue and Short guide can be useful tools to prepare your visit to the Exhibition: you can buy them directly at the online Bookstore (https://www.labiennale.org/en/buy-online). They are available at the Exhibition in the bookshops at the Giardini and Arsenale venues or in the bookshop of the institutional headquarters at Ca’ Giustinian.

In agreement with BAUADVISOR, a paid Dog Sitter and Dog Walker service is available and must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
The service provided by BAUADVISOR allows pet dog owners who intend to visit the Exhibition to entrust their dog to the BAUADVISOR operators at the entrance of the Exhibition venues, on the date and at the established time until the end of the visit, when it will be returned to the owner.
