Regulations and online pre-payment of the accreditation badge
Accreditation passes for press, radio-television, photographers, press attaches, will be reserved to media professionals provided the application forms satisfy the accreditation requirements. In detail:

The pass for technical operators is free of charge and does not give access to screenings;

The Photo pass is free of charge and does not give access to screenings. It cannot be issued if in possession of a press badge or other pass.
The procedure for the official appointments (photo call and red carpet) will be communicated when the accreditation is confirmed.

Only applications for accreditation with the necessary documentation will be considered.
Requests which have simultaneously been sent to other registration offices asking for other typologies of accreditation (Press, Industry or Professional), will not be taken into consideration.
Badges are issued at the full discretion of La Biennale di Venezia, taking into account the regulations for registration and the limited number of available seats.
The code for access to the accreditation form online will be sent when the accreditation is accepted.
Registration fee: 60 euro.
The accreditation card can be purchased only in advance by credit card until 29th August.
A Press Pass allows access to screenings as marked day-by-day in the programme.
The Pass is valid for the whole duration of the Festival.
In the event of cancellation, the payment of the badge cannot be refunded. In case of loss or theft, the duplication of the badge will be made upon presentation of a notification of the police department and a new payment.
Note on embargo
Reviews of films can be published only when the first official public screening of each film has begun.
Industry Gold, Trade and Professional are reserved exclusively to film industry professionals and those working within the artistic or technical activities of the audio-visual sector.
Industry Gold and Trade categories may request the Online VPB Accreditation, please check all the services in the Online VPB Accreditation section.
All requests for accreditation must include specific and up-to-date documentation concerning the professional activity.
Accreditation passes are issued at the full discretion of La Biennale di Venezia.

The accreditation is valid for the entire duration of the 77th Festival.
The 77th Venice International Film Festival screening schedule will be published on the website by mid-August.
If for any reason you should be unable to attend, but have requested your accreditation before the deadline ( 30th June, 2020) and paid for this in advance online, it will be possible to receive a 60% refund. Your cancellation must be received by 31st July 2020 and the Administrative Office of La Biennale di Venezia will deal with the refund.
For accreditation requests received after 30th June and cancellations received after 31st July the purchase of the accreditation cannot be refunded.
Locations and Services of the Venice Production Bridge
On the occasion of the upcoming 77th edition of the Venice International Film Festival (2nd - 12th September, 2020), the Venice Production Bridge (3rd – 11th September 2020) will organize the following events: Venice Gap-Financing Market, Book Adaptation Rights Market, Final Cut in Venice, Online VPB Market Screenings, the European Film Forum and the VOD Market Day. Moreover as the other years the Venice Production Bridge will propose different services: Industry Gold Club, Industry Business Centre, Spazio Incontri (meetings room), Exhibition Areas.
Online VPB Market Screenings will be available only for all the Industry Gold, Trade and Online VPB participants. The Digital Video Library will be available for viewing of films on the Festival Scope Pro platform (pro.festivalscope.com) with a personal password given to all Industry Gold, Trade and Online VPB participants.

INDUSTRY ACCREDITATION APPLICATION
The formal Industry accreditation request needs to include:

The Registration Office will evaluate the requests of all kinds of Industry accreditation. If your application has been successful, you will receive a written communication.
Only requests respecting this registration method, supported by the necessary documentation, will be taken into consideration.
The kind of accreditation pass and the number of passes to be issued for each company are at the full discretion of La Biennale di Venezia.
Accreditation passes are strictly personal and must be collected in person from the Industry Accreditation desk, presenting the same ID entered in the accreditation form as well as a copy of the registration confirmation.

The Film Delegation accreditation is exclusively reserved to individuals involved with the films shown within the Official Selection of the Festival and in the programmes of the Settimana Internazionale della Critica and the Giornate degli Autori.
The Film Delegation accreditation is valid for the entire duration of the Festival. This accreditation is a service offered by the Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia, guaranteeing the best possible stay in Venice to its guests. The accreditation holds the same privileges as the Industry Professional accreditation and gives access to the Exhibition Area, the possibility to see all selected films and third priority admission to the Press & Industry Screenings.
The number of Film Delegation accreditations to be issued for each presented film is at the full discretion of Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia.
Loss or theft of the accreditation badge have to be reported to the local police authority. The badge will be replaced within the times of the issuing office.
Producers, sales agents and distributors with the necessary requirements and formally presented by their production company have the right to request additional Industry accreditations (Gold, Trade or Professional depending on the professional profile) at the corresponding registration fee and with all the privileges and services offered. This accreditation is valid for the entire duration of the Festival.
Full information concerning the programme, projection and screening times of the Festival will be available on the official website from mid-August, as well as in the official programme which will be handed out with the accreditation badge.
Starting from 1st August the main representative of each production company of the films selected for the Festival will receive all necessary information concerning the accreditation procedure.

Cinema accreditation can be requested by:
• University lecturers or researchers involved in teaching or researching subjects related to film;
• Teachers of public schools teaching film studies, whose request must be accompanied by up-to-date documentation of the subjects taught and by a letter from the head teacher;
• Students of training and professional film schools;
• Main representatives of major national film associations;
• Head of or close collaborators of cultural associations producing detailed evidence of their film activity;
• Heads of publishing companies with specific editorial interest in the field of cinema;
• Heads of Italian and foreign cultural institutions;
• Heads of public and local cultural administration.
Cultural operators and representatives of film clubs and of cultural associations affiliated to national cinema associations, are kindly recommended to refer directly to them in order to request a Cinema accreditation.
Requests which do not fit into the above categories will not be considered. All requests must be accompanied by detailed and up-to-date documentation indicating the applicant’s category.
CINEMA ACCREDITATION AND SERVICES OFFERED
Cinema accreditation offers the possibility to view all films of the Festival at the screenings marked as “Tutti gli accrediti/All accreditations” and the access to the Exhibition Areas and to the free access conferences organized by the Venice Production Bridge.
The screening schedule will be available on the website from mid-August and in the official programme which will be handed out with the accreditation badge.

CINEMA ACCREDITATION REQUEST
The online Cinema Accreditation request needs to include:
• contact details the applicant, or whoever will be the contact throughout the accreditation process (first name, second name, address, telephone and e-mail);
• request on letterhead paper including the number of accreditations requested, the names and specific positions of people within the organisation, company or association;
• up-to-date documentation of cinematographic activity;
• request on letterhead paper of the University, signed by the applicant, for University lecturers and researchers.
We remind you that the request has to be accompanied by the appropriate documentation as outlined by the online procedures.
The Registration Office will evaluate all requests and, where accreditation is granted, will send written communication and issue the codes to fill out the relevant online forms. These must be filled out and returned online.

Since 2016, the Venice International Film Festival was one of the first film festivals in the world to demonstrate interest in Virtual Reality.
For the 2020 edition, Venice VR, the official Virtual Reality competition section of the Venice International Film Festival, will no longer be shown physically in Venice Lido on the island of Lazzaretto Vecchio ( VR Island), but it will be available to enjoy entirely online, rebranded as Venice VR Expanded to reflect the shift to a 100% virtual exhibition, will be available exclusively online, on a dedicated platform designed by VRrOOm, supported by HTC Viveport, Facebook’s Oculus, and VRChat.
From 2nd to 12th September 2020, accredited viewers over 14 years old will be able to experi-ence the official selection and activities of Venice VR Expanded.
The projects will be viewable online using computers and VR headsets. The headsets that may be used for the content available on the Viveport platform include the Vive, Vive Cosmos, Vive Pro, Oculus Rift, Oculus Rift S , Windows Mixed Reality and Valve Index. The content available on the Oculus platform may be viewed using the Oculus Quest headset.
VR ACCREDITATION

The accreditation (for viewers over 14 years-old) will allow exclusive access to the con-tents through a personalized code that will receive before the beginning of the festival.
VR accreditation gives the following benefits:
- Exclusive access to 6 projects in Competition on Facebook’s Oculus
- Exclusive access by reservation to 3 projects in Competition
- Access to the whole selection of Venice VR Expanded
- Exclusive access to The Garden area inside the Venice VR Expanded Plat-form on VRChat where VR Accreditation holders can network with fellow VR
accredited holders, film festival accredited guests, VR Industry guests and selected VR artists and teams

The Venice International Film Festival reserves to the under 26, over 60 years of age and university students the possibility to request a Promotional Card that offers the possibility to view all films of the Festival marked as “Tutti gli accrediti” (All pass holders), according to seat availability.
Under 26 / over 60 (valid for 6 consecutive days): € 110
University Students (valid for 6 consecutive days): € 50
Under 26/ over 60 (valid for 11 days): € 150 – request and payment deadline: 29th August 2020
The Promotional Card can be purchased exclusively online with traceable payment systems, such as credit card and prepaid card.
The instructions for collecting the card will be indicated in the confirmation email.
