Synopsis

Another Fisherman’s Tale is the sequel of the multi awarded game A Fisherman’s Tale (VR Game of the Year at 2019 VR Awards). You step into the shoes of Nina, the daughter of the original game’s protagonist, as she discovers models, notes and photographs that document her father’s mysterious past, as well as her own childhood. Recollecting Bob’s grandiose stories of pirates, sunken ships, treasures and mystical locations, Nina begins re-enacting his adventures and dives head-first into an imaginative world of memory and fantasy.

Main Creators’ Statement

We had not initially planned a sequel of our first game A Fisherman’s Tale, but when we came with the idea of playing with your avatar in VR, for puzzles based on dismantling and rebuilding your own body parts—as if you were a puppet—we immediately thought it could be a great opportunity to come back to the license through the character of Bob. The gameplay concept is different than in the first one, but it felt appropriate to tell the story of Bob after he escaped his lighthouse at the end of A Fisherman’s Tale and how he completely rebuilt himself through that journey.
