Accreditation Categories

  • The Venice International Film Festival offers all those working in the cinematographic sector the possibility of requesting accreditation according to their specific field of employment. Each user can only apply for one accreditation. Requests which have simultaneously been sent to different accreditation offices will not be considered.
  • Accreditation will be granted according to the respective regulations and is subject to available seats.
  • Participation in the Venice Film Festival involves full acceptance of its regulations.
  • Any violation of these will result in the immediate withdrawal of the accreditation badge.

Press accreditation is reserved for media operators belonging to the following categories:
print press / online press / radio & television crews / photographers/ press attaches.

Industry Gold, Trade and Professional accreditation are reserved exclusively to film industry professionals and those engaged in artistic or technical activities within the audio-visual sector. All requests for accreditation must include specific and up-to-date documentation concerning the applicants’ professional activity.

Film Delegation accreditation is exclusively reserved to individuals involved with the films shown as part of Official Selection of the Festival as well as in the programmes of the Settimana Internazionale della Critica and the Giornate degli Autori.

Cinema accreditation is dedicated to those who operate within the film sector under a cultural profile, and can be requested by:
university lecturers or researchers involved in film-related subjects; teachers of public schools teaching film studies; representatives of film associations and those whose main activity is connected with the world of cinema.

Italian and foreign students of any course of study can apply for Cinema accreditation upon presentation of proof of University enrolment for the current academic year.

The Venice International Film Festival reserves to the under 26 and over 60 years of age the possibility to request a Promotional Card that offers the possibility to view all films of the Festival marked as “Tutti gli accrediti” (All pass holders), according to seat availability.
