Biennale College Architettura 2026/2027: the 12 selected projects
The emerging practitioners under 30 come from China, Croatia, Italy, Mexico, Syria, Spain, Turkey, Tunisia, the USA, and Hungary.

Twelve projects have been selected for the 3rd edition of the Biennale College Architettura 2026–2027 and will be developed during the workshop, scheduled to take place from 22 to 30 September 2026.
The initiative complements the 20th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, Do Architecture, curated by Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu (8 May – 21 November 2027), with a research, experimentation and production laboratory for emerging practitioners under 30, who are invited to develop and advance their selected projects through a process of exchange, research and collaborative work.
The call for applications attracted over 80 emerging practitioners from 36 countries around the world, representing the broadest possible range of disciplines related to the built environment, in line with the overall intention of the 20th International Architecture Exhibition.
The 12 projects selected for this first phase of the Biennale College Architettura are presented by:

The workshop, alternating individual and group sessions, will be coordinated by Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu, Artistic Directors of the Architecture Department, together with tutors working directly with the participants on the development of the projects.
After the workshop, up to 4 of the 12 projects will be selected to receive a grant of 25,000 euros for the realization of the final work. The works will be presented out of competition in the context of the Biennale Architettura 2027.
Biennale College is a project of La Biennale di Venezia whose aims include expanding opportunities for emerging professionals by sharing their work with a wider audience and supporting their productions in the fields of Art, Cinema, Dance, Music and Theatre, as well as in the Historical Archive – International Centre for Research on the Contemporary Arts of La Biennale di Venezia.
