On the Other Earth is a new, post-cinematic choreographic installation inspired by Wayne McGregor’s latest live stage work DEEPSTARIA that refracts, evolves and reimagines the work’s conceptual DNA into a startingly original new form of experience.
A solo performance by dancer Aakash Odedra, who was born in Birmingham UK and trained in the classical Indian dance styles. This show is in fact a tight dialogue between traditional classical Indian dance and music.
The two pieces are part of the Numerical Series that has toured all over the world, in more than 40 countries and at over 100 festivals. The titles of the pieces refer to the number of dancers onstage.
