Synopsis
The Collider is an immersive virtual and theatrical experience exploring power and dependency. You are invited to enter a machine built to decode the mysteries of human relationships. It operates like the Large Hadron Collider, except instead of atoms, it hurls people against each other.
Its mission: to identify and understand the invisible material that passes between people—pulling them together or pushing them apart. Guiding two people along a journey, it creates a moving choreography that becomes its own private spectacle within the heart of the machine.
Directors’ Statement
This installation speaks to what is alive in the space when VR happens. With one person in VR and the other wielding the controllers they are tied together virtually. What dynamics emerge? From the election of Donald Trump to the #MeToo revelations, it felt increasingly urgent to interrogate why and how we give power to others. The Collider is a space to witness the inner experience of this broader politics.
