Sinossi

Celebrate 10 years of Venice Immersive with hundreds of fellow creators in a collective ritual especially made about the Venice lagoon, water, and collective power.
For this special event, we invite the entire island to participate. Important notice: it starts sharp at 19:00 - So be on time with a reasonably charged phone!
La Laguna Parla amplifies the voice of The Venice Lagoon and is an adaptation of an earlier work called The Waterbodies Orchestra created by The Confluence of European waterbodies and the Smartphone Orchestra. It was made as a means to give a voice to the European waterbodies in order to show that they are living beings and thus need to be seen as legal entities.

Commento del regista

As the Creative Director of The Smartphone Orchestra — a low-threshold, multiplayer, interactive storytelling platform — I am very happy to work on pieces like La Laguna Parla: a smartphone-guided ritual about water for hundreds of participants, transforming the crowd into a living, sounding ecosystem. It is joyful, urgent, and deeply immersive. And nowhere could it feel more necessary than Venice — a city that is itself a body of water, and that knows better than anywhere else what it means to be at the mercy of rising seas. This is not only a piece about water. It is a piece that makes you feel that you are water — and that, together, like drops of water, we could be immeasurably powerful in making change for the better.
